Current Skincare Favourites

A couple of years ago I didn't really bother with skincare, a bit of moisturiser before applying foundation, the occasional face mask and face wipes to remove make up. That was it. I wouldn't say I have a proper routine set in stone even now, but I do take a bit more care with my skin. So I thought I would show you my current favourite skin care products.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water £4.99 - This stuff is great for removing make up, even stubborn mascara. I find I don't need to use much to get all my make up off, 1 or 2 large cotton pads should do. Perfect.  It just makes make up removal so much easier, especially if you're not up to doing a whole skincare routine at that moment in time.

Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm £15.50 - I received this in a beauty box a few months ago and couldn't wait to try it out having never used a cleansing balm before. It melts into the skin as the bottle says 'emulsifying make up', you then add water and while you massage it turns into a light milk. I was expecting this to leave my face feeling a bit greasy afterwards but in fact it felt lovely, smooth and comfortable. This is also good for use after micellar water just to get rid of the make up and grime you may have missed. I'm definitely going to start using this a bit more.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner £8.50 - This toner removes traces of make up and cleanser while hydrating your skin and is suitable for all skin types. I have to say since using this my skin has improved so much. I never used to see the point in these types of products but I've now learnt how good they really are. My skin feels a lot more refreshed after use. If you don't use a toner, I definitely recommend doing so.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Cool & Creamy Wash £5.00 - I currently use this face wash once a week while showering. What I love most about this face wash is how cooling it is, it is lovely and refreshing. Perfect for washing your face in the morning, an instant wake me up.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask £23.00 - Twice a week I use this Origins overnight mask. I wake up with my skin feeling soft and hydrated. When I read this was a mask, I was expecting an actual face mask, how silly am i? This is more like a cream that sinks in to the skin when you apply it. I got this in a set of 3 Origins products for Christmas, I'm yet to use the other two products but if they're as good as this mask, I can't wait to give them a go.

Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm Moisturising Cream £35.55 - My current moisturiser is this little pot of Lancome Hydra Zen. I got this as a gift with two other Lancome products when I bought a Mac lipstick from Debenhams late last year. This moisturiser is the best I've used yet. It is said to leave the skin feeling soft, smooth and radiant. I totally agree.
