5 Favourite Makeup Brushes

Since I started blogging and fell more in love with makeup, I have also fallen head over heels for makeup brushes. Before then, I would use my fingers to apply foundation, eyeshadow etc and I can't even remember how I applied blusher but nowadays, my collection of makeup brushes has grown and I couldn't live without them. Not only do they look pretty but they better the application of my makeup. Today, I'm sharing my 5 favourites..

5 Favourite Makeup Brushes

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush | £9.99 | LINK
The Real Techniques brushes have to be my ultimate favourites. Not only are they cheap but they work so well! The Expert Face Brush is great at creating a flawless looking base. Even though these days I'm more likely to reach for a sponge (such as the W7 Power Puff) to apply my foundation, I still go back to using this brush every now and again. Especially when applying a foundation with a heavier coverage as I find it applies better. If you're looking for a new base brush, give this one a try. I highly recommend it!

Real Techniques Angled Highlighter Brush | £30.00 (Part of the Holiday Deluxe Set) | LINK
As I mentioned before, Real Techniques are my ultimate favourites so no surprise, here's another one of their brushes! Unfortunately, this isn't available to buy on its own which is a shame as it's such a good brush! If you're willing to pay £30.00 for this set though, go ahead because you won't regret it. This highlighter brush is the perfect size for highlighter application or even contouring of the nose. I love this one and honestly, I don't think I'd ever use anything else to apply highlighter with.

Real Techniques Bold Metals 103 Angled Powder Brush | £30.00 (Part of the Bold Metals Essentials Set) | LINK
Yep, another one! Though honestly, how could anyone NOT be in love with this brush? Just look at it! So so pretty. I don't use setting powder that much these days after realising it was no good for my dry skin and was making it look cakey! So, I mainly use this brush for application of bronzer. My go to bronzer has to be Soap & Glory's Solar Powder (it's perfect for us pale gals!), so I like to sweep this fluffy brush around the pan then go over my face in the 3 shape (sweep across forehead, around the cheekbone and down the jaw.) and it just adds a healthy looking glow without looking too harsh on my pale skin.

Spectrum Tapered Finishing Brush | £7.99 | LINK
The prettiest makeup brush ever? Quite possibly. This is the perfect multitasking brush. You can use it to apply bronzer, blusher, highlighter and even translucent powder. My main use for this brush is when I feel like contouring as it's the perfect size and shape. I do use this for applying blush sometimes however you have to be careful as it can end up looking harsh, I always blend it out with a fluffier brush.

BornPretty Handmade Rattan Handled Blush Brush | £2.99 | LINK
Another great multitasking brush. Again, you can use this for application of bronzer, blusher and highlighter. I preferably use this for blush as it's quite fluffy. It is cheap but works really well and I've never had any faults with it! A fab NARS Yachiyo Kabuki Brush dupe.
